GTX 770 vs. R9-280X

I know this question has been asked so many times. What I know after some research is the performance for 1080p is pretty much the same. The R9-280X is a bit cheaper in my country. My question is, as someone who's interested mostly in ubisoft developed games, will getting the R9-280X be a bad choice ? Are the effects of having physx disabled in games noticeable ?

If you are going to play ubisoft games never buy AMD card coz ubisoft optimize games for nvidia only. clear examples are AC3, AC4, Watch Dogs... under r9 290x tri-x ac3 runs 35FPS with GPU usage 20% in my case...

Yeah but I think the next releases, destined only for PC, PS4 and X1 will be much better as both consoles have AMD gpus
