Help building assembled PC, Desktop

Going to assemble components from scratch.
Users: Family members
Developing country; Mid level budget.
Purpose: Everyday home computing,
Movies, mid level games.Inventory management on excel, mid range.
Enterprise/Business computing: mid range testing
Programming: Visual Studio Express, C, C++, C#, Python, PHP, SQL.

I have finalized this motherboard:
Gigabyte GA 970A-UD3.

Can't decide on processor.
AM1 series for developing countries seems good bet??.
A series?
Dual core will suffice?
Will add the optical drives from my old PC.
How much RAM?
OS Windows Vista Business 32 bit, may later upgrade to 64 bit.

Usually you wouldn't need to custom built an everyday laptop because you can get this at the store. You only customise if you are gaming or using special programs that require fast speed.

But my specs would be for you if you are building is:

i5 quad core (for mid games)
4GB or 8GB Ram for your games
Same motherboard
Maybe a mid grade graphics card Nvidia 600 or 700 series.
I would recommend windows 8 or 7. They might soon not support Vista according to some rumours.

Thanks everyone. Installation done: GA78LMTUSB3/AMD FX 4300/4 GB ram/2 opticals/400 watt smps/2 Fans/Seagate 168 GB SATA/....today installing WD 10EZRX.
