Solution

that will depend on each univeristys program for the degree. they will have a checklist and hopefully all your classes transfer
Well what do you like to do specifically?
Diagnose issues and help people? IT
write programs and learn code? computer science/software
actual hardware/microprocessor design and research? engineering/computer science
manage systems? network/data ? computer information systems/systems manager/network manager

software engineers and general coders are in huge demand.

The BLS is a great way to find out WHAT each jobs duties include and then it may be easier for you to choose, based off your skills and the demands warranted by each job.

this if from the united states bureau of labor statistics. im not sure if the info will be 100% relevant but most computer related jobs have a good growth outlook for the future. anywhere from 15-25% growth/demand. You can bet your money anything in the tech field will stay in demand. The value might go down a bit over time (IT and network/data specialists for example) but there will always be demand. IF you invest in software engineering this is mostly future proof as new hardware and new ideas will always yield a demand for implementation.
