cpu and gpu bound plz explain

can some one please explain to me what the difference is between cpu bound and gpu bound in pc games and how to tell if my game will use cpu bound or gpu bound for example if i game at 1920x1080 or 1280x720 which would cause me to be cpu and gpu bound im confused

being cpu or gpu bound means that the game will use the cpu or gpu more than the other, for example, minecraft is very cpu bound, meaning you need a strong cpu, but you dont need a very strong gpu. BF4 and most fps games are gpu bound, meaning you need a really good gpu, and the cpu doesnt have to be anything special.

Well it depends on the game u r playing GTA IV relies on the CPU while titles like splinter cell rely on GPU. if this is what u r asking.
