Power cut while playing a game on my computer?

My whole house had a power cut while I was playing Mass Effect 3 on my computer. It booted up fine after but i wanted to know if there could be any permanent damage to my PC. Any help would be much appreciated

sudden power cards put a little bit stress o the hdd but power fluctuations can lead to psu failure and also motherboard ........so its best to buy a ups a cheap one will do so that you can get the extra 2 -3 min of backup to save your work and shut down your system....
