After a power surge I checked my PC to see if it would start up, it didn't completely boot up, it showed the HP logo then the monitor went blank. I then tried the TV and the same thing happened. I finally got it to boot up, I logged into Windows noticed the resolution was off tried to change it but no info for the monitor showed up then the monitor went blank again. I tried with two different graphic cards plus the onboard card and two different power supplies but the same problem persists. Has anyone else had this problem or possible idea as to what maybe messed. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
P.S. I can still use my PC via Splashtop or other remote desktop apps.
P.P.S. I ran a system diagnostics test from BIOS and the monitor stayed on for four straight.

you'll have to start from scratch in testing each part of your motherboard, starting in BIOS, and then each piece of the computer to diagnose a problem - anything could have gotten fried and cause a million different outcomes to happen whenever you press the power button
