Which Graphics Card is better?

I was looking into buying a new gaming laptop and i was wondering what graphics card is better a Radeon 8000 Series OR a NVIDIA GeForce GT 820M

Well..the 8000 series is just what it says,a series..which means it could be weak or pretty strong

You'll have to find out what numbers come after the 8 in 8000,its not zeros.

Please, please do not ask that question. You are literally beginning a war. The fanboys are coming. Quickly edit that post and give us the model number. Both series are great. A gt 880 is better than the slowest 8000 and vice versa. No way to compare until we know the model. Clock speed and memory bus width won't help unless we have a model.

The best buy page was not found, but sorry neither. My laptop was 680$ and great. Go to hp's site and look at the hp envy 15z j000 and the 15t j000.
The 15z has a 1080p screen, quad core apu, 6gb ram, and a10 5700m, backlit keybaord, 750gb hdd, and a dedicated 8750m aswell. The 15t uses an intel core i7, a gt 840m, 6gb ram, 1080p touchscreen, etc... and much much better than either of these.

A HUGE DIFFERENCE Also, are you getting the rest of the upgrades I recommended? Atleast get the cpu, gpu and screen for the best experience. The original gpu and this one actually are in crossfire while gaming, meaning there is a weak one helping the stronger one when it needs it. This is an awesome laptop overall, I own one.

There is a really big difference,not as huge as desktops running integrated cards vs dedicated cards,but a large one still.

I have the laptop. On the igpu (apu) on skyrim 1080p low around 15-25 fps with dips to 10ish with no aa or fxaa. With the 8750m+apu (skyrim is great with crossfire), 1080p, medium-high with texture and firemods around 40-45 fps with dips to around 35 with aa on 2x
