So i went looking around for a new pc that will be able to play games such as euro truck simulator and battlefield 4. This is what I came up with: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
I really like that rig, but how will it handle such games and is there anyway to make it cheaper? Thanks!

I'm sorry, when I followed your link, you must have not exported it, so I ended up modifying your original config. :(

ANyway, I swapped out the i7 CPU for an i5 that's better suited for gaming and saved you about $100, then I also used a smaller PSU that is still well in excess of the required wattage. That should save you a few bucks.

Note that with the H97 chopset you can't overclock, so I didn't get you the K-series CPU, since that's a waste of money. :)

Thanks. But how does that graphics card compare to the one i had picked out? Also, can I just transfer my OS onto a new computer? Thanks

It was used for the benchmarks in this review:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-270-review-benchmarks,3669-4.html

Note that it was downclocked to reference speeds for that review, actual performance would be slightly higher.

What OS do you have now and is it on a custom computer or a dell / hp / etc?

I have Windows 8 on just a regular HP desktop computer

If your HP came with windows 8 installed then no, it's locked to that machine and you will need a new OS with your new PC.
