Howdy,

Going to build a Win 7 pro x64 system and I'm looking for some suggestions in MB, CPU and Graphics card. In the past I have always used ASUS MB, AMD CPU and ATI/AMD graphics card back in the day when ATI made video cards.

Intended use and not limited to the below items :

- some gaming noting to serious
- office use(word, excel..etc)
- multimedia ,streaming to HDTV,

Cheers,

Budget is probably one of the most important bits of info we need for helping you with a build.
It will dictate what parts we can use. A 1k build will be much better than a build for 500.

You can get decent gaming computer for 500$ and play most games at med-high setting and 1k will get you one that will play most at high-ultra at a higher frame rate

I think case fan LED color is more important than budget. Come on OP, tell us what case fan LED color you need!

I never said you couldn't get a decent build for $500... Plenty of great options for that price. But you can still get better performance by a substantial amount for $1000. My point was what price was the OP aiming for. I used the pricing 500-1000 difference to show how budget is a bit important. Is the budget unlimited? Is it $1250? Is it £400?

LED fan is definitely more important. I totally forgot about that, doh! I prefer infrared lights on mine.

I didn't go crazy on the graphics card, but I added an SSD and bluray player.
