Hello Tom's Hardware community. So I was wondering- I have an Asus P5G41T-MLX motherboard with a Core 2 Quad q6600 processor overclocked to 3 Ghz and a 500 watt PSU and I want to upgrade my GPU.Currently it is a Sapphire Radeon 4850 1GB and I want to buy a better one but I don't know whether a PCI-E 3 GPU will work on a PCI-E 2 slot and if it works how much power will I loose and also can you recommend me a GPU which is good for this configuration and also I can't change the other components. Thanks!

The best card I can recommend is 750ti. Also, their is virtually no difference between 2.0 and 3.0 unless you going very high end.
