I am New here. I've got a new computer 3 days ago and the specs are way better than on my old one, now the thing is there's windows 8.1 on it. When I want to game the games don't run as smooth as they used to do on my old computer. I have to play on the lowest settings to stop it from lagging. I've tried to set the priority to high.. this barely made a diffirence. And fooling around with applications running in the background but this didn't help much either.
It's the Acer Aspire XC-605 with the following features:
Intel Core i5-4460
3,2GHZ (boosted 3.4)
8GB (RAM)
DDR3
1600MHZ
1TB
HD Graphics 4600
makes 7200 rpm
I am not the smartest with computers, but I hope someone here can help me out. My apologies if I posted something wrong or at the wrong place.
