OK...I know what kind of knife I want...a folding knife / automatic opener (switch blade) with a single 5" to 5.1" tonto-style single-edged blade (measured from the tip to where it enters the handle, as per Texas law.) I want an aluminum skeletonized handle.

This is for self-defense in Texas, where 5.5" is the maximum blade length, and where switchblades were legalized as of 9-1-2013.

Now for the problem...Every idiot selling pocket knives wants to list them by brand, then by irrelevant details. They include pics, but nobody has a NewEgg-style search that lets me pick the blade length, material, blade style, body material, and weight then see what's left.

Even a database of current knife designs would be awesome. Unfortunately, no such search seems available, not even from my (usually rational) Chinese suppliers.

Any solutions?

I really want a database. The knife listed above is just one of several examples.

I haven't a clue personally but I imagine that many sporting, hunting, and defence stores may have catalogues and/or staff that could pitch recommendations.

The problem is that their catalogs omit most of the information I'm looking for (like blade length and weight in Oz) and what's worse, they are organized by irrelevant criteria, like manufacturer.
