Need business laptop suggestions

My BIL needs a new business laptop by next Friday. He asked me to ask here as he's driving cross country for the next 3-4 days to move the household.

His criteria are as follows:

Non Negotibles
1. Large display - 15.6"
2. Fast-Fast-Fast for spreadsheets and biz tasks--no games, though.
3. Windows 7--unless you can convince me that windows 8 is OK...
4. Windows Office Pro
5. Under $1000 preferably much less than that.

Would like
1. Dedicated number keypad to the right.
2. 1 TB HD.

Don't care about:
1. Touch screen--would be ok, but not dying for this technology.

Two models he's considering from Amazon are:
Lenovo IdeaPad U530 Touch Ultrabook
Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Touch

I then would consider buying an decent, reliable ssd. You can buy a crucial mx100 128GB for $75 or 256GB for $110 or 512GB for $220
I am not sure what his space needs will exactly be but if he wants 1tb then id go with the 512gb model. You can always buy an 1tb external hard drive for like 80ish $ if your interested. I dont think its worth spending close to $400 for a 1tb ssd

Doesnt have office pro but if you install it on this computer it will run for sure.
