I want to purchase a Asus Rog PG278Q Gaming Monitor whenever it becomes available. Im sure alot of others have there eyes on this monitor as well. I currently have two Evga gtx 770's in SLI and im worried that if I do get the new monjitor I wont be able to play demanding games at the standard I'm used to..which is everything on max :p Anyway my question is how well would my current gpu's run on 1440p with max settings and hopefully at least a setting of 120hz? (I know its max is 144hz) I'm willing to purchase a new gpu because i really want the monitor but I wouldnt want a 780, 780ti, or even a titan at the moment with a new 800 series just around the corner could mean a more pontentially ideal card for me wheter it be a new gtx 880 or a 780ti with a nice price drop. I also hear that the new 800 series will be cheaper than 780/780ti which is all the more reason to wait.

For 120 fps in 1440p you will definatley need another 770 but. With gsynch you realize lower fps will feel fast its not like a set refresh rate its dynamic so even at 60-80 fps it'll feel fast and sharp so you might want to just try the moniter with 2 and see if its even worth a 3rd 770
