So all i want from this build is a smooth 60 fps (or above) 1080p experience on games like bf4.

CPU: Intel i7 4790k
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX780 Twin Frozr Gaming Edition
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3
RAM: Crucial BallistixSport 16 GB 1600Mhz
Power Supply: Cooler Master GM 750W
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro Black

If you haven't already bought it, geta n i5 4690k because the i7's are simply overkill for gaming.

But isnt it better to have i7 for future games?

If we now say that i am going to buy i5 instead, is this a better gpu to get Gigabyte GeForce GTX780 3GB Ti OC? or should i buy a different (better) GPU? if so, which one?

EVGA i believe just released a 6GB 780ti that will take you further into the future with 4K on the horizon, or if you want to run NVIDIA surround in a triple monitor rig, Both require as much vRAM as you can throw at them.

Man, I can promise you 3 years of ultra gaming with an i5. ANd another 3 years on high. Cpu's do not age quickly. I still use an agin q6600 from 2006 which is 8 years old and it can run bf4 quite well on med-high when paired with a good gpu. The 100 bucks saved can get you a better gpu which is more important for gaming and ages quickly. Otherwise, if you want to feel more secure get a Xeon http://www.microcenter.com/product/428570/E3-1240_v3_34GHz_Server_Processor. It promises i7 performance at 50 bucks lower. Has HT and you can still put the 50 bucks on a better gpu. But you won't be having an integrated gpu which you anyhow dont need.

hmm..... i dont know man, this build is just for one monitor 1080p..... but if this is what you call ''take you further into the future'' then i just might consider that GPU. thx btw for your answer

No the 780ti is just clocked slightly higher than the 780. I'm just threw it out there as an option. You gotta do what works for you.

Alright thx for you guys answers i think i will be going with a gtx 780 ti beacuse sites like game-debate.com tells me that it gives more performance and overall i think the 780 ti is going to be a nice addition to the build. like i said thx for your answers i appreciate you guys taking your time :D
