Hello everyone. This is my first Intel build in years and my first using MSI (usually use Asus or Gigabyte) This is a basic build for a friend of mine for surfing the web, etc.

All drivers and utilities and BIOS are up to date. When I press reset or try to reboot from windows, the system logs off of Windows, but then stays in a suspended state wit the CPU fan running, but never rebooting.
At first was attempting to install Windows on to an SSD. After I realized that it was acting up during re-boot/re-start, I installed Wins 7 x64 on a normal WD HDD to update the BIOS. Every time I would have to restart, I had to do a hard boot in order to then turn off the system, then turn on the system again to complete instillation. This is still the case. I tried removing the stick of RAM and moving to the other slot, I have tried moving the drives to different SATA ports on the mobo, I have tried to remove everything except for power/sata cables. I have tried re-seating the cooler...everything except for re-seating the CPU, that is my next step...Ill post an update as I go along...has anyone else had this problem?

Attached is a crappy phone video of what I mean...

Have you updated the mobo's BIOS to the latest? Does MSI say that the new Pentium is compatible with that mobo?

Yes to both.

I apologize for not reading your OP closer. The BIOS update was in there.

I just watched your vid. Here are a couple of things:
First, it appears that you are using MSI's "Fast Boot". I would not recommend that until you get your problems sorted out.

Next, in your screenshot of the BIOS it looks like you haven't set your boot devices in order. Available boot devices are highlighted across the top of the page in the main BIOS screen. The first highlighted item is 5th in the current boot order. There are 2 ways to fix this. First is to drag and drop the desired device across the top of the screen with first on the left and last on the right. Alternatively, you can set the boot order in the "Settings" section of the BIOS.

I think this is the important point,
"Next, in your screenshot of the BIOS it looks like you haven't set your boot devices in order.".

When you want to leave the bios,I would prefer to use Setting->save & exit->save changes and reboot.
