my computer was fine brfore and i used to play mincraft for more than 2hout without problem.Recently im geting this problem. while playing minecraft my monitor says no signal, sometimes even while playing video.. but after the the signal i cant even hear any sound. i think its my psu problem... since i put gt220 in 250w psu.
here is my gpu temp: while playing game its up to 88-98c and normal is 65C
here is the link to my computer: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=4269976&spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c02551561-30%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

the only thing i changed in my computer is that the hard drive, added 1 more gb ram, and the gt220 for gaming..

it would be much of help if anyone find me a solution to this problem.. THAnk You :)

If the PSU couldn't supply enough power I would expect it to crash as soon as you load up the game - the power drawer doesn't go up the longer you play a game, it either works or it doesn't.

98 degrees is quite hot. My guess would be that it's overheating. The GT220 doesn't draw much power so that's much hotter than I would have expected it to get. Have you got a fan exhausting heat out of the back?

I can't guarantee that it's definitely the PSU causing the problems, but it could be. But all PCs should have a good quality PSU in them, so yes, if you have the money it's definitely worth getting one anyway. The XFX Core edition 450 or 550 Watts supplies are good and reasonably priced. I have the 450Watt version in my PSU. Unless you are planning on running SLI or Crossfire 450 Watts is powerful enough to run pretty much anything you can throw at it.
