Hi everyone,

this is my first thread in here and sorry in advance for my English.
I have 2 options ahead and I should choose one of them.

1) powercolor R7 260X Overclocked 2GB, 128 bit AMD Radeon
2) powercolor HD6870 1GB, 256 bit AMD Radeon

These two are almost same price here(I am from Turkey btw). Clock speeds of R7 looks faster than HD6870, but it is 128 bit... I am not a hard gamer and I know that these are not high level cards, which I dont need. What I am looking for is, graphic card that could handle at least 2 monitors in full hd resolution perfectly and be able to work good with photoshop, and maybe some games like PES 2013, Call of duty etc. (They dont need to be ultra ultra ultra, "high" would be ok)

P.S: I have to decide in 10 hours actually, so I would be glad if you help me with this.

P.S: These are approximately 95 euro each here. Is there any other option around this price?
Thank you so much.

Easily the one with 2GB VRAM. Current games will require over 1GB at low settings. So, even if the 6870 was stronger, the 260X would still be able to out perform it in some/a lot of scenarios. You will need the memory in order to make things able to play with out completely shutting off some functionality.

You should be able to get a current gen r9 270 for about 20 euros more.

thank you for the answer Danco,

Another question is,

when "GAMES" are NOT considered, what is the difference between 128 bit and 256 bit? For example, lets say I want to watch a blu-ray 1080p on two monitors, and at the same time I want to surf in the internet with the 3rd monitor. Which one is more important here, Memory? Bit rate? or?

the bit count is the number of binary digits that the card reads per line of machine ISA code. Generally, having more bits is better, but you probably won't ever know the difference between the two B

Bus bit width and type of RAM (ddr3 vs. DDR5 etc.) all combine to give you the total memory throughput that the card can sustain -- so a card with higher speed DDR5 RAM and a 128 bit bus can be faster than a 256 bit bus card based on slower speed DDR3 ram - but if all other things are the same then a 256 bit bus is better than a 128 bit bus since it can handle twice as much info per clock cycle - but just having a 256 bit bus does not necessarily mean it is a better card. You have to consider the combination of specs to see what the total memory throughput is. Again, this bit count will not be noticeable in practice on any application.
