Dropping screws on motherboard

Hello all,
Today I was putting together my new rig and when I was screwing down the motherboard I dropped the screw ontop on the motherboard a couple times. Will this cause it to short out? I have yet to complete the build, but will be soon. Also I am pretty sure I used the right screws that came with the case because they went in fin, but some just popped out. I hope I did not do anything bad but we will see tomorrow. I just figured I would ask before I see. Thanks!

Unless you threw it as hard as you could at the socket I doubt anything happened.
Shorting really only happens when the system has power, and small items like that can cause shorts if the system is on. Unplugged its no worse than touching the board.
