Hi

I am planning to use this as my monitor. It's 720p. Res: 1024x768
I'll pair it up with amd fx6300, Asus M5A97 pro 2.0 ,MSI R9 270x.

Please suggest if it's a good combination. I am worried I won't be able to play games properly on this TV and there would be lag in games.

TV is actually very nice. Worth every penny. Please help with ur comments.

If you turn up resolution, you can turn down AA as things will be more crisp anyways. There's a nice balance and 1080p is the sweetspot right now. If you already have the T.V., by all means, stick with it. It seems perfectly fine. If you ever want to upgrade though, 1080p is a better decision.

Well thing is..I aleardy have this TV. If its going to affect my gaming a lot I can switch. If I can play games at everthing set to high like AA etc..then I don't mind using this. Resolution is really going to affect gaming...I am not much of a computer geek..so plZ help with this.

Just need to need how much diff is the resolution and 720p is gonna make..and will I get lag due to TV or not...

When I bought this..compared to 1080p LED 32 inches it was a steal and the picture quality is actually a lot better

Will you lag? No.
Will it look slightly worse than in 1080p? Obviously.
Will it look bad on your TV? No, since 720p is the native resolution.

TN panels have the fastest response possible for non-crt screens, plasma screens have high refresh rate but the response time is high (ms, lower is better). Also, plasma screens have limited resolution and color quality, compared to TN or IPS.
With a 270x there is no way you will be pulling stable 100+ frames with high settings in modern games, unless you play old games with low resolutions and low graphics, so 600hz of refresh rate is pointless.
