Hi: I'm thinking of getting one of these lamps with a big magnifying glass and fluorescent light that are often used by electronics technicians, but I don't know which to choose. Any advice would be welcome.

What about those glasses with two magnifying glasses and light? Are those comfty?

I've never used the bi-ocular type. But I have one like this... clamp-on... that I would be lost without. I believe I picked it up at Amazon.com/

It really depends on what you're doing. Here where I work, we have five different kinds of the above. They all work fine. I've been to a few electronic assembly companies and they use the above or large table mount binoculars for surface mount work and inspection (Expensive).
Picking one is really about your style and price. I suggest to make sure each arm length is at least 3 feet long.
That said; I've never seen the glasses type used in a professional setting.
