Need some actual feedback on the Western Digital 1 TB WD10EZEX Internal HDD

I'm gonna use this HDD for gaming and music mainly, though my query was that I've read some nasty reviews on various sites claiming this HDD comes dead-on-arrival and dying in under a year, so anyone who has actually owned this specific model please give some feedback, I don't trust the reviews on various online shopping sites.

I've used several of that newer model on some recent builds. Never had a DOA and haven't noticed any performance issues. Typical WD HDD.
