i am building my first computer and am unsure on part compatability and whether i am missing anything.

firstly i know I am missing a PSU, and could use suggestions.
my parts are currently

ASUS VG248QE 24-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor 144hz 1ms (Monitor)
NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower Case Black with Orange (Case)
ASRock 990FX Extreme3 Motherboard (Motherboard)
Kingston Hyper X Fury HX316C10FRK2/16 16GB (2x8GB) Red (RAM)
AMD FX-8320 8 Core Black Edition Processor (CPU)
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 OC Edition 4GB (GPU)
LG CH12NS30 12X BD-R Blu-Ray DVD Combo Drive (DVD Drive)
Samsung 840 EVO Series 120GB SSD (Memory)
Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003 (Memory)

So, what PSU should i use ( im in australia so it is 230V 50Hz)?
and are these parts all compatible?
should i change anything(eg bad brands or bad parts)?
thanks for any help

From what I can see your parts are compatible, and a quite good choice.
If you want, you can drop the RAM to 8 GB, since 8 is more than enough for just gaming, and maybe go for the FX 8350.

Regarding PSU, here`s the 1st that came to hand that`s good quality and cheaper:

You can look for others, but let us know what you want to get before buying it, so we can let you know if it`s any good.

My friend said i should get a 850W PSU, that one is only 750W. Is he wrong? why?

and what is the point of upgrading the processor? is it worth the extra $50? why?

sorrry for the question its just alot of money for me

The CPU upgrade just gives you a bit more power, but if you`re tight on the budget, don`t worry about it.
Regarding the 850W PSU, it`s a bit overkill.
750W is enough even if you want to SLI (add another GTX 770 later on), but if you plan to SLI in the future, and play it extremely safe, you can get a 850W PSU, there`s nobody stopping you :D

Just make sure to get a good one, you can write here what you chose, and we can tell you if it`s good or not.

Thanks heaps
