Computer restarts, no way to figure whats the issue..

So I've come to the point that I need to replace something, in my opinion its the CPU.
My computer can stay on idle for weeks, I can even google stuff and read news!
But as soon as I start any game, even a browser game, it shuts down within 10 minutes.
Regardless of what I'm playing, it restarts within same timeframe.

- I've done extensive RAM tests and graphic tests without errors/restarts.
- Some of the Prime95 tests (primarily the longer ones) resulted in restarts.
- It's NOT a temp issue.

This in consideration makes me think it's either my CPU, PSU or my mainboard.
PSU: Not even 1 year old. Pretty decent 850W 180$ PSU
CPU: AMD 8350 (last component I've messed with/changed, problem started after I installed this)
Motherboard: 1 year something old, maybe i broke the socket?

It all started with my Corsair H55 cooling system.. I was removing my CPU in an extreme hurry (precious downtime minutes), and tore it to pieces. Bought an identical CPU and CAREFULLY installed it.

So, should I just frisbee my mainboard+CPU and buy new set?
Seems Intel got themselves a new customer..

You say is't not a heat issue, but you don't say how you know that? Almost every symptom you describe sounds like a heat issue.

If you check the Windows Event Log, do you see reasons for shutdown? Any other errors?

No, it's YOUR fault something broke. Not AMD's. sounds like you broke the socket in your "rage of fury". Computers need to be gently dismantled, on a clam day with no plans in case something comes up and you could finish it later. Never tear it apart due to a time constraint. Looks like you'll have to buy a new mobo.

Can't find my dumpfile, and can't remember exactly what is said but it didn't tell me anything useful :(  Windows event logger just tells me it was an unexpected shutdown.
I've monitored my temps manually in all load situations, temps never hit above 50 Celsius (except Prime95). Graphic card maxed at 45ish Celsius.
I might've been a little fast saying its not a temp issue. As I don't really trust AMD's core temp readings, I suspect 1 of the cores beeing faulty and overheating without me knowing?

And, I'm not saying anything is AMD's fault dude.. I've built computers for 12 years, 10 of them with AMD components, my "rage of fury" was more like an "impatient-done-this-so-many-times-I-think-I'm-the-best-fastest-pro-and-doesn't-brake-shit-anymore" situation. I know I should've warmed the CPU with a hairdryer or removed it while it had some temp (visitors between shutdown and removal).
I guess I should've backed up my "AMD outburst" with a reason, primarily because I want a CPU that handles more temperatures as AMD 8350 has a 65ish Celsius "limit". Besides, I don't need 8 cores, and intel is abit more efficient per core.

Maybe they do, but AMD is the best for price. And apologizes, you made it sound like you ripped the damn thing right out of the socket. That would be a facepalm...

No doubt AMD is most bang for the buck =)
And I agree, I did make it sound like I ripped it straight off, it wasn't as bad as I made it sound like :p

lol I was imagining bent pins, cracking plastic, broken radiator from the liquid cooling system, wires ripped from the socket. X-D What is the motherboard called?

Yeah, something like that :p

Got an Asus Sabertooth 990FX 2.0, gotta say i'm pretty satisfied with this board =)

It is nice! I got myself a pretty good m5a99fx ASUS pro, which is a level or two below yours.
