I'm strongly considering going for a triple monitor setup. Preferably 3 x 1080p.
To do this, I'm also considering picking up an ASUS Strix 780, the one with the 6GB VRAM.
But that may be at a later date, plus I'm interested to see what the 800 series has in store.
I suppose my question is, is it still viable? I'm undecided on if I should opt for a single decent 1080/1440 display as opposed to 3 cheap-ish 1080p displays.
I'll admit that good colours and excellent brightness will always mean more to me than refresh rates and resolution. In fact, I'd prefer to stick with 1080p considering it's easier to drive. I have no quarrels with that resolution.
The bottom line is I utterly can't decide between more immersion, or better colours. Ideally both would be nice.
- What is the native res over 3 displays? 3x1920?
- Is the content out there, or am I likely to run in to a lot of boxing issues?
- If not, what displays would you recommend based purely on their screen quality. 120-144Hz is great, but a bright and colourful experience is my personal preference over it.
Budget wise, probably about £400.
