Sound does not work in Windows (Instruction)

How to use this tutorial
For best results, complete each step before moving on to the next step. Check the sound after each step before moving on to the next step.
**Step 1 :
**Screening devices :
The reason for many of the problems related to the lack of sound preparation some devices correctly. This examination covers the step sound card and connect the cables in the right places and make sure the device is connected to a power source and check the sound level.

1. Checking sound card

Check your computer to make sure it includes a sound card or sound processor, and that they are working correctly.

Open the "Device Manager" by clicking Start, then point to Control Panel, then click System, and then click the Devices tab, then click Device Manager.

Double-click the volume control devices, video games and to expand this category. If the sound card in the list, it means that you have a sound card installed. Notes

If you think you have a sound card installed, but it does not appear within the category controllers Sound, video and games, expand the Other Devices category, and then see the devices listed.

Usually does not include laptops sound cards. But includes voice processors instead of cards and appear in the same category within the "Device Manager."
If you see a question mark next to the name in yellow sound card in the "Device Manager", this refers to the possibility of a problem.

Right-click on the name of the sound card, and then click Properties.

Click the General tab, and then refer to the information contained in the Device status box to identify problems specific to the sound card.

If there is a problem, you may need to run a new program for your sound card. For more information, see Step 3: Update the drivers.

2. Verification of the cables are connected correctly
Speakers and headphones

If you are using external speakers, make sure you connected to your computer correctly.

3. Examine the energy and volume

If you have headphones, make sure they are connected to a power source and they are in favor of running.

Be sure not to mute the handset or headset or decrease too. The verification of this is particularly important for laptops, which typically include small speakers sound weak.

Click Start, then click Control Panel, then click Sounds and Audio Devices.

Within the volume of the device, move the slider to the left to increase the volume.

Be sure not to select the check box mute.

Click the speaker volume, then make sure the slider is not set to low.

Notice

Some laptops by an external controller in the volume on the outer part of the structure of the computer. If you are using a laptop, make sure that the control external sound level is not assigned to the lowest level.

In some cases, you may have many of the elements of the volume control for verification. Step 3 :
Update Drivers

Follow the steps below to update the drivers.
Update drivers automatically using Windows Update

Open the "Automatic Updates" by clicking Start, pointing to the Control Panel, then click the Automatic Updates.

Click Automatic, then select the day and time to download the updates.

Click Apply.

Notes

Windows automatically download updates and drivers available on the day and time set by the following. Check to see if the sound problems were solved after making the first update.

Download the driver and install it yourself

If Windows can not find a driver for your sound card or sound processor is attached to the program did not run with the device, you can search for the driver on the manufacturer's Web site. Updates are available drivers usually in the support section for these sites.

To locate the driver, look for the name of the manufacturer and the model name, number, sound card, and then visit the site information contact suppliers of hardware and software on the Web. Once you find the manufacturer, go to its website and locate the latest driver for your sound card, and then download it.

If you do not find the name of the manufacturer and the model name of your sound card or its number, follow these steps:

Click Start, then click Run.

Type dxdiag, and then click OK.

Click the Sound tab.

In the Department of the device, next to its name, copy the name of the device or type. Drivers in the section, next to the provider, copy the name of the manufacturer or type.

Click Finish.

Once the flag name and manufacturer of your sound card, you can search for a driver on the device manufacturer's website. Updates are available drivers usually in the support section for these sites.

If you find an updated driver, follow the installation instructions described on the Web site. Most drivers are self-installation - After downloading, you must usually you double-click the file to start the installation process, and then the driver installation self on the computer.
