1080P and 1050P dual monitor setup help

I'm using an R9 280x (Gigabyte Windforce) I have 2 monitors, one is 1080p and the other is 1050p. I have all the cables I need but the question is will they work together or will I have to downscale the resolution on my 1080p monitor? Will they work for gaming?

You can configure them at separate resolutions.

There are only a handful of games that support gaming on 2 monitors (Supreme Commander comes to mind). All others are 1,3,5,6

Ok, thanks. One more thing, can I use the 1080P monitor for gaming and the other monitor for a browsing type thing, or will it just close the game after scrolling off the screen?

Focus handling is very OS and game dependant. Some will minimize, some will not.
