http://www.tomshardware.com/community/badges.html

That link should have all the badges, show your progress and gives a brief description of what they're for.

currently you have

-verified email (when you accept the email verification)
-judge (when you "report abuse" and send it to us mods for review)
-at home (when you select an avatar)
-reader (when you comment on our news section for a certain time)
-night owl (when you make posts when the server deems it is nighttime

these are all general non-experience type badges.

to get experience badges you need to get a best answer awarded to you by the creator of a thread in which you responded. what category this works towards depends on the tags at the top of the thread.

if you are active and have good advice its quite easy to get all the base level badges.

there are of course a few which are unachievable which you may note other users have. these would be the badges given on our older system before the changeover (these are listed as legacy badges) however do have new badges with similar meaning. we kept the legacy badges active to reward our longstanding members who have been with us for awhile.
