This is my first build and I need advice on the PSU, or if any other parts are not good quality or reliable brands

My build is
ASUS VG248QE 24-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor 144hz 1ms (Monitor)
NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower Case Black with Orange (Case)
ASRock 990FX Extreme3 Motherboard (Motherboard)
Kingston Hyper X Fury HX316C10FRK2/16 16GB (2x8GB) Red (RAM)
AMD FX-8350 8 Core Black Edition Processor (CPU)
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 OC Edition 4GB (GPU)
LG CH12NS30 12X BD-R Blu-Ray DVD Combo Drive (DVD Drive)
Samsung 840 EVO Series 120GB SSD (Memory)
Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003 (Memory)

The current PSU's I am looking at are (I'm in Australia so it will be running from 230V 50Hz, just in case that matters)

EVGA SuperNOVA 750W B2 Power Supply ($109)
Silverstone Strider Gold 750W ST75F-GS ($149)
Thermaltake 750W Toughpower Gold ($159)
Antec High Current Gamer 750W Modular HCG-750M ($159)
EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2 Gold Power Supply (169)

Which of these is the best choice for quality and price?
I was told by a friend that i would need a 850W, is that true?

Any advice would be great on my build in general as well, how does it look?

EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2 Gold Power Supply.
You only really need 650W. But the EVGA SuperNova G2 is a good power supply. Get it still

Build looks ok. If you doing a gaming build, 8 GB ram is fine. If you are doing video editing and rendering, you can keep the 16GB. Consider getting a cpu cooler. AMD stock cooler aren't great. A coolermaster 212 EVo is fine. If you want a higher overclock, a beefy cpu cooler is
needed like noctua nH D14/15 or Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK

I'm not very knowledgeable in pc's, why would i need a cpu cooler what does it do exactly? and how critical is it to get? what could happen if i dont?
and what is overclocking? and what does it do?
Yes it is a gaming build, i have noticed that some games are now recommending more than 8gb of ram.

sorry for the inexperience

Game developer recommending 16GB is overkill. 8GB will still suffice.
You are given a stock AMD cpu cooler. You use it to cool the cpu. You always have to have one. If you don't use one, your cpu will melt/die. The one given to you in the FX 8320 box is ok to use but could be better.
Overclocking is increasing the clock speed to gain some more performance at a cost of a higher heat output than at stock speed. Overclocking requires a more beefy cpu cooler for a FX 8320.
The coolermaster 212 EVO is fine for overclocking or not. It is a better cooler and will be quieter than the AMD stock cpu cooler.
You don;t always have to overclock, it is your choice.

Same thing.

I have the EVGA SuperNOVA 750W B2 and it is great.

Get the B2 and use the difference between the B2 and the other power supplies to get a Coolermaster HYPER 212 EVO. It is kind of required for the FX8320 and FX8350 due to heating issues and fan noise unless if you don't mind underclocking during the summer.

EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2 Gold Power Supply < Run your build with the best , get the G2.

They are all excellent PSU but out of the four the G2 gives you the best quality/price. The B2 is still a quality product its but I dont think its fully modular. If budget is of concern go with the B2 if not get the G2

btw you dont NEED 850 watts unless you plan to upgrade

The B2 is semi modular.
