External hard scratch sound ?!

i have a WD 500GB, it fall on the ground so it stopped working, i removed the cover, the head was stuck not allowing the disk to spin, i gently put back the head to its place, the disk started to spin again but the head now starts to make a strange sounds like its scratching the disk, the device is recognized in disk management and somtimes in the usb devices but not in my computer, anyone can help me getting my data back ?

can i remove the disk and use it in a similar drive to get my data back ?

The device has suffered physical damage and its highly likely that you are damaging the data further every time you use the drive.
Send it to a recovery facility. They are expensive but should manage to get quite a bit of your data back.

Unless if you have your own specific tools and a clean room environment, but if you don't have those then send it to the pros. Chances of getting your data back would go slimmer if you keep tinkering your drive and think that the more damaged it has the more expensive it is to recover your data from that drive.
