Good afternoon!

As a gamer myself I am curious and I have came to ask a certain question and the answer can relate to anything in gaming.. Online gaming, console gaming, etc..

If there was something in the gaming industry of which would benefit you in ANY way, what would it be and why? SOMETHING NEW. This could range from controllers with a comfortable protective casing (for ragers) to improved concentration drinks. However, something new.

A product that offers the gamer something, if you can think of something what would it be?

Remember, this can relate to anything. What would it be and why?

Thanks, I'm very curious to see your responses :)

No exclusivity for games and all games to be created equally, instead of getting bad ports etc

The protective casing for controllers is a good idea (I've smashed many xbox 360 controllers playing PC games), but the problem isn't so much cosmetic damage to the outside of the controller, but when slamming them against a wall, the floor, your forehead, etc, the joysticks can come off their axes, the dpad shifts and becomes unusuable, etc and you have to take the whole thing apart, readjust the insides and put it back together. A controller that has more durable/stable insides which don't shift around after a forceful impact would be nice. It could even be marketed toward "ragers" like you mentioned...

If you're raging:

1) You have a anger issue and need to see a therapist.
2) The game is designed in such a way to make you angry and you should not play it.

If you're telling complete strangers what to do over the internet:

1) STFU
2) You're a weirdo... we're not all like you, not everyone thinks the same as you do... when you age past 17 or so you'll realize this

And you're how old now, 13? Based on your avatar and your acumen for arguing on the internet?

This thread really took a dark turn... one guy mentions raging (which OP even mentioned in his post) and the anime goober squad come in to scold him rofl? OP asked for ideas about the next new product for the gaming industry... and you said..... wait for it....

"No exclusivity for games and all games to be created equally, instead of getting bad ports etc "

Yea.... thanks for that reply bud.... really helped OP by completely missing the subject.... you're a goober dude, you're a goober

1: The personal attacks are real.
2: You haven't suggested anything
3: Make moar assumptions about people based on an avatar on an online forum.. right.
4: You really helped the OP with your hateful backlash.

Yeah, no. I'd rather not have products designed around people with anger issues. There's therapy and happy pills for that. Encouraging raging is just encouraging childish behavior, which most people outgrow by the time they hit their teens.

Seriously. Played Demon's Souls and Dark Souls for 400+ hours, died dozens of times, and never broke a single controller. Never raged. I never even tapped a controller in an irritable manner.
If you break controllers on a regular basis, figure out what dafuq is wrong with your life before you start breaking other things. Or people.

Wow I really started a crapstorm here it seems... the worst part is my post was mostly sarcasm (i.e. slamming controllers against your forehead, etc) and I was mainly responding to Dalef's's mention of ragers & protective controller cases. Don't get me wrong I've gotten angry during competitive gaming before, most of which was a long time ago since I don't game much anymore, but I do know a lot of people who rage on a regular basis, some of them have drug problems, anger issues, etc, so unless you guys are going to go around correcting all the worlds problems such that there is no need for protective controller cases then you're not really contributing... It's like saying "Why would you manufacture nicotine patches, anyone who smokes is a moron to begin with".

Rather than responding with suggestions & ideas it seems everyone here is more concerned with stating how mature, levelheaded, responsible, etc they are...

I say that all the time.

Besides, it's not comparable. Nicotine patches are to help people stop smoking, whereas rage-proof controllers simply encourage raging. The goals of each device are opposite.

Not really, it was the other guy who came in flaming without a suggestion. He saw the first sentence he didn't like and jumped on the hate train.
