Hi! I'm thinking of upgrading my processor to AMD FX 9370 and I'm wondering if my motherboard and cooling system can handle it.

System specs:

CPU:AMD FX 6300 (upgrading to 9370 if possible)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
PSU: 750 Watt
GPU: XFX Radeon R9 280X
RAM: 8 GB

My current cooler is: CoolerMaster Seidon 120V

Yeah, I've thought of that, I found a decent bundle with the Intel Core i5 4690 and the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 3. Is that a good choice?

You won't need a z97 board with a locked i5 4690. I'd either get the i5 4690k/i7 4790k with a z97 board OR the i5 4690/xeon 1231v3 with a h97 board.
If you don't care about overclocking and have a discrete GPU, I'd personally go with the xeon and a nice h97 board.

Will you be multitasking, rendering or encoding a lot or rather have your pc for gaming and common use?

Edit: You have a good GPU, so I guess you'll use it for gaming. I'd personally pay 20 bucks more for the xeon over the i5 (non-k), but rather with a i5 if you intend to overclock.

It's mostly common use and gaming, but I do use photoshop and heavy applications sometimes which my FX 6300 struggles with.

So it comes down if you're into overclocking or not, tell me and I'll get you a combo done on partpicker. Would also be helpful in what country you live, tho (for price comparisons).

Mhh, I can't find a website like partpicker for sweden, so I'll just asume german for parts, which you might get shipped there for under 10€ each.

i5 4690k - 198€ - http://tonerdiskont.de/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=7294&virtuemart_category_id=165

and for a ~4.4ghz+ oc:

Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI - 105€ - http://tonerdiskont.de/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=7313&virtuemart_category_id=39

Cooler Master 212 Evo - 30€ - http://www.alternate.de/Cooler-Master/Hyper-212-Evo-CPU-K%C3%BChler/html/product/915234?

If you don't mind spending more money, you can also go with an i7 4790k, but that might be overkill for you.
