Contemplating whether Windows 8 or 7

I am in the makings of building my own Gaming PC, and I am wondering which OS I want to use. I am going to use this PC for Gaming purposes and the PC I use now is not a very powerful one that uses Windows 8. I like Windows 8 because of it's design, but should I get Windows 7 because of it's more 'freedom' of doing things. Which one overall is better for gaming? Windows 7 or Windows 8?

If you like the design of Windows 8, I would get it. You can use the standard desktop mode, which is similar to Windows 7.

Go with windows 7, it is way better than windows 8. Win8 is only good if you use the live tiles a lot. Otherwise get win 7.
