Hello, I would like to upgrade my GPU but I don't know if my PSU will handle a new one. I would kindly appreciate if anyone could help me choose a GPU compatible with this trashy PSU( I don't have the budget for a new PSU so...) .

system specs:
CPU: Core2Duo E7400@2.80Ghz
Mobo: Gigabyte P31-ES3G
Ram: 4 Gb DDR2
HDD: Samsung 500GB 7200rpm
GPU: Gigabye GeForce 9500GT 1GB DDR2

I would suggest getting a corsair CX430 (it runs around $30 so not too big of an investment).

For the GPU, honestly an R7 250x or an R7 260/265 should be the highest you can go on that C2D since it's getiting outdated.

The 750ti says it does, but it doesn't. The requirement isn't very high since you can plop the thing in most prebuilt computers that have awful 300w/350/400w PSUs.

I would not go for the 430...the CX series of PSUs are very low quality, and notoriously known for having terrible capacitors.

They're not very low quality. My brother and I have run decently powerful systems on CX500's for over a year each. They are good for low power systems that are on a budget.

@OP
If you REALLY want a good power supply, Seasonic sells a 430W for around $40.

I stand corrected the Geforce website says that it only requires a 300W PSU for the 750ti....so you would be ok. Although i would recommend replacing it ASAP with a quality unit, bc Amperage is what matters, not wattage.
12 amps on the +12v rail means an output of 144W, I wouldn't exactly trust it

And just FYI Seasonic is the OEM for the XFX PSU that i suggested....

Yep, but $40 is plenty good enough for a 430W Seasonic PSU. That is a $75 PSU for 650W. He doesn't need 650W for something like that. He would want around 450 - 500W max since he's probably not going to upgrade it to anything powerful soon. Most GPUs (even high end ones) can run on 550 - 650W max.

Guys, ty for the suggestions for a new PSU, but as I already said, I don't have the budget for GPU+PSU so I want a GPU only, that can run on the current PSU. I have a 120$ budget so I wouldn't extend so far(GTX 750Ti or R7 250x). Currently, I sighted a Gtx 650 Zotac but I don't know if it runs on my 16A 12V, so i found a HD7750 who is said to be able to run on 16A. Also I found an Asus R7 250 1gb ddr5 so I'd like to choose the one who runs best on the current PSU.
