so heres the problem....starting the pc i get a no signal on my monitor ive been working on computers for 5+years so im fairly aware of the problems associated with this.....after doin some troubleshooting with another pc i figured it was the motherboard so got a new one and still same problem.....switched out the ram....switched graphics cards.....switched power supply's....switched tvs same problem only thing that hasnt been switched is the processor im highly doubtful that thats the problem......if u leave the machine sit for 15-20 mins it will come on only tried this twice and both times it worked??? any insight would be very helpful

First off what is your complete component list?

The other thing that comes to mind about letting it set for twenty minutes is that if the fans are running the system will cool down in that time. So maybe there is a thermal problem. What are the system temperatures?

Have you tried switching back to integrated graphics within the BIOS and then using the motherboard video outputs? If so, what were the results?

You mentioned switching out the RAM. Have you tried running memtest(even overnight).

You mentioned TVs, do you have video on the TVs?

Do you have a verified working monitor (preferably with the same video input) that you can switch out to test your monitor?

srry i dont have the complete list of components its a friends pc.....i know its a quad core am3 procesor never overclocked....radeon 5770....motherboard is brand new and it does have integrated video im gonna try to switch that up next but like i said i cant get into the bios with no monitor.....ive done everything on both of those checklists......the tvs are brand new 3 of them same problem with all of them.....switching the g-card doesnt make any difference...verified that both graphics cards are working on another pc along with the ram...i dont think its a thermal problem repasted everything with as5 and it has a brand new coolermaster on it....btw nice 300z

The Radeon 5770 has a minimum system requirement of 450 watts. What output are you using (HDMI, DVI, ect.)?

Thanks, it is a 1996 300zx 2+2. It is one of 3000 that was produced in that last year for that body style.

Do you have a case speaker? Are there any beep codes? There is always the possibility that the new motherboard is also bad. As a last resort, you can try breadboarding the motherboard to check the motherboard , RAM and CPU.

Have you tried using another output option (DVI or Displayport)?

This is my third Z. I had a 1989 300ZX 2+2, 1993 300zx coupe, and this last one. It is pearl white. I tried the RX7, but they didn't have enough headroom for me.
