Hi, I'm building a computer for 3D animation and maybe a little gaming. I mostly want it to be a workstation computer that will run programs like Maya, ZBrush, Mudbox, etc. I've heard a lot about the Quadro cards, unfortunately it's a bit out of my price range (<$350).

Here's what I've been looking at:
EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2765-KR GeForce GTX 760 2GB

Some of the reviews say this is for gaming but I am still unsure.
Is this card good for animation and rendering?
If not, are there any other workstation graphics cards that will do the job? I dont need anything too crazy. Just intermediate- advanced level. Nothing high-end!

GTX is for gaming. If you are planning to do rendering then Quaddro is your only solution. Buying gaming cards for rendering is extremely stupid since they are not designed for it. Buying a GTX 760 for rendering is the same as buying a high-end graphics card with a Pentium cpu.

Try AMD firepro V4900, its the cheapest you can find. Workstation cards are expensive for a reason because are specifically designed to work with modelling.
