I'm not sure about some of the compatibilities of some of my parts for my first computer build.

I'm a bit of a computer noob so this has been a learning experience for me. I haven't built the computer or ordered any parts yet. Some of the major parts that aren't listed here I'm salvaging from some other computers I have. I would also be doing lots of moderate gaming and animating on this computer.
So far I've got these parts (I'll link you to the listing I found to buy the part):
Processor: AMD A8-5600K (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0095VPAVE/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3MDUFUQOQTCYS)
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GT 640 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0086UXQES/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER)
Motherboard: Gigabyte H97 Extreme Multi Graphics (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K7807IK/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER)

If I missed anything, please let me know. I didn't think the memory sticks or the power supply would be a problem.
Thanks in advance.

Woah woah woah

You're trying to use an AMD processor in an Intel motherboard.

That's a HUGE problem. You need to go with an FM2 motherboard. I use this one

Make sure to check socket compatibility before you buy the CPU and the Motherboard.

Also, your power supply should be:
1. 80+ certified (this is always labeled in the name because it's a good marketing thing when something is 80+)
2. From a trusted manufacturer. This list gives all the trustedmanufacturers and power supplies in tiers.
