What can I do to get my PC to perform at its best?

So here's the deal.

I currently have what I consider to be at least a decent gaming PC.
Here's the rundown of what I've got right now:

- Windows 8.1
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K
- GPU: GTX 760 dual SLI
- RAM: 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) at 2400 MHz
- One 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD
- Mobo: MSI Z97-G45

I'd like to know what I can do (what drivers to have, perhaps certain system resources, maybe some of the best ways you've found to configure game settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel, [I only recently started using SLI so I'm still learning about that], etc.) I'd just like to learn maybe a few tips and tricks from some experienced users so I better enjoy my games running at a higher FPS (or higher graphical settings, whatever).
I know, I'm not looking for some magical solution that boosts every PC's performance, I'd just like to get some input from users who are more knowledgeable than I am.
Thanks in advance.

Other than overclocking, there really isn't all the much to do. As you said, there aren't any magical tweaks or anything that will suddenly improve performance (not that you should need a boost with your current setup). You can use MSI Afterburner or similar to overclock GPU if you want.
