Images Producing Shadow Duplicates on my LCD Montior

My monitor is a Dell E1713S 17" LCD monitor which runs at 60 Hz and uses VGA connectivity. I've been experiencing duplicates of everything on my screen in a transparent gray silhouette style which appears to the right of the actual images.

My monitor was manufactured in July of 2008, if that is of any use to you guys. I know the basics of monitors such as the effects of resolution, refresh rate, viewing angles, etc.. but nothing else, so please be patient with me and speak in layman's terms where applicable.

Try with a different cable, thats most likely produced because of bad quality vga cables.
