Will this setup bottleneck a r9 290/x

Will these old parts bottleneck the 290 or 290x?

-Patriot Viper Xtreme Series, Division 2 Edition 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

-Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) stock speeds

-Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

This is a PC I built in 2011, the current graphics card is a hd6950 and it beginning to show its age. I am wondering if these components will bottleneck a r9 290 or r9 290x? If so I will invest in some new hardware. I'd like to keep the current hardware but if there will be a bottleneck, I will go ahead and purchase all new equipment (any recommendations will be welcomed). I would overclock the CPU but I have never done so before and it is running the stock cooler at this point.

Play some occasional FPS and tons of World of Warcraft amongst other mmo's that will be arriving shortly.

should be fine although add 10fps at least in every game if u were to get a 1150 mobo and a Devils canyon cpu

Would the ram I have be sufficient if I were to upgrade the mobo and the cpu? Should I up the speed or go to 16gb? Also, would adding a SSD provide any benefit?

8gb vs 16gb is not worth it if u dont do video editing.
16gb doesnt give u any extra speed

do you have ddr3 or ddr2

yes to games that are hard disk intensive and boot times (Such as GTA IV or Bethesda games)

DDR 3 ram, I'd really like to hold out as long as I could before dropping money on any parts as haswell-e, ddr4 and x99 will be out soon. Thats what I'd really like to build next.
