I want to giveaway an anti-virus key I no longer use.

I checked the forum rules but couldn't find anything on giveaways. I wanted to make sure whether it's ok or not.

Did this before on Toms, OCN and Gametrailers. The only ones who had a problem with it was gametrailers - no surprise there.

I'm content to allow it. But only once, and only you, and only during a very brief window.

The reason I qualify this is to avoid commercial AV spammers from posting for the sole purpose of giving away trial keys to their software. To big software, Tom's is a goldmine of activity. Even giving away your product for free to our very large network of tech experts could result in a major boost in sales, because everyone here on Tom's is an influencer - so we have to be very careful about what we allow to prevent abuse.

Thank you very much. Other than tom's, I couldn't think of any website I could post it where the giveaway would actually be taken seriously. As this will be the only thing I giveaway on this forum, I will have to figure out another legitimate outlet for giveaways in the future.

I think Joe thinks you might be the real "Thor" ... and he is a bit scared.

You can't take that hammer any where near our server farms ...

I'm pretty sure the site was moved (almost) entirely over to AWS. So go ahead, not our farms!
