Next week I am flying to New York from Florida to move in with my dad, I have 4 pieces for my PC so far, my case, motherboard, power supply, and ram. I'm not sure how to do this and my moms saying to just send it over through the mail but I don't wanna spend any extra money since I'm trying to finish my computer.

I have all the original boxes that the components came in.

Chassis - Raidmax ATX-249B Black
Motherboard - Asus B85M-G
Power Supply - Corsair CX430
Ram - Hyperx Fury 4GB

Sincerely,
MutigenHD

RAM...no problem. Mobo I'd make sure to wrap it well and put in original box. PSU...just rebox it. Case...leave it behind and buy a new one when you get to NY. It's big and heavy...plus you might find something better.

You have to understand that Im not finished with my computer so I cant afford to spend money on another case when i can spend that money towards my gpu or cpu

Well..the case is large and it will cost extra fees at airport...like $50. Maybe you could sell it for $20 and buy a new case once you land. That saves you money in shipping.

you wouldnt have much issue with the ram, mobo and psu. while they may get scrutinized during check in i dont forsee an issue with having them as carry on baggage.

if they go in the overhead bins you would want them in a case of some sort (laptop bag is fine) or they will get crushed and damaged. people jam things in there. if they are your personal item placed at your feet you should be fine but i would put them in a bag of some sort (laptop bag ideal, but at least something to hide what they are).

the computer case however would need to be checked baggage. trying to get it through unscathed however is an issue. bags are dropped, stuffed, thrown and occassionally items fall off the conveyor or carts. while its not guaranteed of course i wouldnt be suprised if the box was damaged upon arrival. also you have the check bag fee to worry about.

its a cheap case so its not worth shipping either. it was a valid point about just selling your case or returning it and just buying one in the new town you arrive in. however, if the case gets damaged during the flight i suppose you can either just live with a dent or replace it if its bad. it might get through unscathed if you are lucky.

if its going to arrive safely after being in the belly of the plane... you better pack it so a grizzly bear couldnt destroy it   (but in all seriousness, its true)
