Which way is better for air flow?

Hi - I got the Noctua NH-U12 S and (& have the new intel processor -Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell Quad-Core 4.0GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor BX80646I74790K in case it matters) I am wondering which side of the heat sink I should place the fan? On right (same side as ram) or on the left (which would be blowing to rear of case) I have heard it argued both ways. Was going to put it on right, next to ram but geek guy at Best Buy who just built one as well as a youtuber believes it should go the other way.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. I've used my 212 Evo in push and pull configurations and the temperatures were the same.

You'll only see a difference in temperature if you buy a second fan and have simultaneous push and pull.

It does matter. Fan that sucks air from the heatsink creates more drag than the fan pushing the air through it. So it is better to have fan on the right.
