Hello,

i want to upgrade my desktop,

right now, i have i7 3960x, hd radeon 6990 hd 4gb , rampage 3 or 4 (the one released with the i7 3960x) mother board, 16 gb ram corsair vengeance 1600 mhz, and WD Black 2 tb, green 1 tb, what should i upgrade?? i dont want to spend much maybe about 1k euro.

what do you guys recommend?

I recommend you only upgrade the graphics card. And possibly add a solid state HDD to speed up load times. The cpu and motherboard are still top end components, really no point upgrading them. An r9 290x and a solid state drive would make an improvement to that already powerful system.

what about the GTX 780 ti? if so, will it require a newer motherboard?

and what SSD should i get?

Should i change Ram?

I would rather have the 780Ti personally although more expensive. Less power, less heat. In terms of ram no you are fine. In terms of a SSD depends on your budget I would look towards the 850 Pro 256 if you are okay spending that.
