I was planning on buying the ASUS 24'' 144hz monitor (as a 3 monitor setup with a normal Asus 2ms 24'' LED monitor on each side), until I came across the ASUS RoG Swift PG278Q 1440p monitor.
A big reason why I never thought about diving into 1440p was that there wasn't a worthy one that was 27'' and could perform with a higher refresh rate than 60hz. I am not interested in 4K gaming at this time, maybe in a couple years.

Now that I have my eye on the ASUS RoG Swift, I'm a little stumped with what to get as the side monitors to complete the 3 monitor setup.

Note that I will only be gaming on the middle, RoG Swift, monitor and the two side ones will be to help with productivity when I run my businesses and stock trade.
The two side ASUS 2ms 24'' LED monitors (VE248H) I had in mind in my original setup were pretty cheap ($179), but now i'm worried that it will just look funny having a middle 27'' and two side 24'' monitors. Do you think it will be that noticeable?

Given that the RoG Swift is going to cost $800, would these ASUS 27'' 1ms (VS278Q-P) $269 monitors be a reasonably priced substitute to make the three monitors flush?

So to sum it up, here are my two options that I need help choosing with for a 3 monitor setup (gaming only on the middle monitor for each option, the other 2 monitors being for productivity [and maybe, just maybe 3 monitor gaming way down the line]):

1) ASUS RoG Swift x 1 (main monitor) + ASUS 2ms 24'' x 2 (side monitors) = $1158

2) ASUS RoG Swift x 1 (main monitor) + ASUS 1ms 27'' x 2 (Side monitors) = $1338

I know some of you may slam me for spending too much money on a computer build and over $1k on monitors alone, but I use computers so much , and currently only with 1 monitor, that it's a nice aesthetic investment into something I can be proud of.

Here is my strict white/black build to match my white modern office:

Two additional; questions that are off topic, but I might catch one of you gurus lurking in another division:
1) A single 780 Ti overclocked should be able to handle the 27'' 1440p 144hz monitor right? (Between 60-80 FPS on high settings, not ultra). I plan to SLI in 3-4 months.
2) I have no idea what 1TB hard drive to pick.

27" would look better, IMO. I would get an IPS monitor if they're going to be for pure production and not gaming.

A single 780 Ti overclocked will meet your performance expectation. SLI would definitely get you into the Ultra range at high FPS.

Seagate Barracuda and Western Digital Black drives are pretty common choices for 1 TB drives, IIRC. Some people may blast me for suggesting Seagate, but I've never had a Seagate drive fail on me in the 8+ years i've used them.
