So I did and upgrade on my system and I decided to buy a new mouse pad for my RAT 5, since the previous one did not match my system and it was a little bit too small. I decided to buy the Corsair MM400 mousepad but it does not work with my mouse RAT 5. The problem is not with my mouse since it still works on the old mousepad.
Any help?
Thanks

some mouse pads don't work well with optical/laser mice and were really meant for roller type.. though the one you got claims to be for optical.. also at newegg I seen this one reviewer said ........ so this may be your issue???

It doesn't work with the Corsair M45 Raptor I bought with the pad. I'm guessing it's because the black surface is too reflective for the sensor. Either way the mouse cursor will move on screen even when the mouse itself is not moving and when I -do- move it I have to fight with it to get any kind of accuracy out of it

next reviewer says this ''Pros: Looks good, rigid

Cons: Does not work with all mice

so its just a luck shot on if it works or not ??

Well, what I know is that it doesn't work quite well for me. It "detects" the mouse but sometimes the cursor stops movings or acts kinda stupid.

well then it looks like you fall under those con's as posted at newegg... my optical mouse works the best with out a pad

I'm using a Razer Goliathus pad and it works very well.

well then keep using whats working the best . like I posted above its a roll of the dice on the pads working with a certain mouse and looks like the new one you got just don't

But I bought the new one for a reason. I need to find a mouse pad that works with my mouse. Not a green one though.

all you can do is buy it and try it ... like I said my optical mice [3] do better with out a pad of any kind

My optical mouse works great without a mouse pad, but I still like to have one.
