I have a Comcast TG362G modem and have an Asus Rt N66U router connected.
I have 12 devices on the n66u.

I have a Netgear WNDR3400v2 that I have direct wired to the N66U but want it to wirelessly receive signals from 2 wireless camera's that are streaming and use software on my pc to monitor those cameras and record.

I have tried everyday for a week to set the netgear router as repeater using samd id, channel, security, (which can only be set to wep or none), wan mac address.as the asus only to lose connectivity once I reboot the netgear router.

I also reset the netgear to factory settings, named it the same as the asus, same channel, but different ip. tried to set it as a static ip but didn't know what DNS to use.

My main dilemma is when I run the cameras thru the asus router, I then have 14 devices I sometimes lose connection to the cameras and have to reboot them besides the frames per second are very low as the router is 50' away from each camera with walls between.
The netgear continues to loose connectivity once the new settings are applied.

I hardwired the netgear router to the asus so to receive the cameras wirelessly, ( netgear 25' from the cameras), and send the signal hardwired to the asus.

Any Help is appreciated
