I'd get the used "new" version, simply because I bought a used PSP 7 years ago and it still works. And I've had a PS2 for 8 years and it hasn't broken. Not sure if Microsoft keeps the same quality control, but I'm not wary of used consoles breaking. They seem to last forever.
