So I think I've got it narrowed down to 2 options - Intel vs. AMD

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K 3.5Ghz 6MB L3 Cache s1150 - Tray

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black WD1003FZEX 1TB Sata III
DVD: Samsung SH-224DB/BSBS DVD±RW x24 Black Sata
Power: Corsair 750W Active PFC Modular 80+ Bronze CX750M PSU
Case: Corsair Carbide 330R Quiet Mid-Tower Case Black No PSU

VS

CPU :AMD FX-8350 Eight Core 4.0GHz AM3+ - Box

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Kit
Graphics: Sapphire Radeon R9 280X VAPOR-X OC 3GB GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI DP PCI-E
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black WD1003FZEX 1TB Sata III
DVD: Samsung SH-224DB/BSBS DVD±RW x24 Black Sata
Power: Corsair 750W Active PFC Modular 80+ Bronze CX750M PSU
Case: Corsair Carbide 330R Quiet Mid-Tower Case Black No PSU

The prices for both builds are pretty much the same (AMD is like 50$ higher), so It's down to performance and reliabilty. Also would like suggestions for a CPU cooler.
I'm hoping to get it tomorrow morning. Final thoughts?

The i5 is newer and give the AMD system a run for its money, but only a GTX760

The AMD system has the R9 280x which is faster then the GTX760.

I'd pick the i5 and get a better GPU if possable unless you want to run 2 GTX760's
