I've realized its time for an upgrade to my almost 9 year old computer for it is literally falling apart; so I decided to build a replacement PC. This is my first PC build (my other planned one was just too expensive) and I need help figuring whether these parts are good enough. I'm still deciding whether I should buy a gpu right now or wait until Black Friday or Cyber Monday for better deals. I am also deciding on a new monitor because I am using an old IBM ThinkVision. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice! Is it worth waiting until black friday or cyber monday for good gpu deals? If they do, I might consider getting the R7260x then, because its current price is out of my budget for a GPU.

It is DEFINITELY worth it. I have it in my machine and I play ALL the latest games, (Sniper Elite 3, Thief) all on ultra for only a little over $120. I would say that's your best bet. And it has 2gb not 1gb so even better resolution selection!
